I made this for my sister in law Colleen. She loves kitties and I thought this would be purrfect.    I love the Sheldon song soft kitty and I needed something to fill in that spot so there it is.The pattern is called Sidekick and I did it using a quilt as you go method

Scotty dog pattern

My Hubby passed away April 2016.  His name was Scott when I met him.  His family called him that because he had a sister named Kim and his first name is Tim so he was tired of running to his mom when she yelled for Kim so the family just started calling him Scott to make it easier.
I make quilts and as a rememberence to him I am using this "Scotty" dog to label my quilts now.

 I made a king sized quilt for my bed.  I appliqued bird houses

 flowers

 and even butterflies

I also put some owls to watch over me during the night

Painted with acyrlic paint and sealed with plaid outdoor brushable sealer.

 A bowling alley by my house closed down and were selling the bowling pins.  I bought 10 at $1.00 a piece

 Sure did have fun with them.  Dracula, ghost/pumpkin/ and my daughter in law Megan painted Stuart the minon

 After they were painted I sealed them with a brush on outdoor sealer from plaid

 The paint used was regular acrylic

 This bag is so sturdy and holds everything

I have even see them used as diaper bags

Watermelon picnic quilt

 I have always wanted to make a log cabin quilt and I wanted it to be watermelon themed.  I love how it came out.  The name of this beauty is summer sweetness fills the air

 You can have all kinds of food, hot dogs, and  pack them in a picnic basket.  Who else shows up?  ANTS
