Real Florida Gator Quilt

I bought a really cool panel of gators.  I decided to make a wall hanging out of it for a friend of mine who comes down every year from Jersey to fish and check out the gators
It is coming along
I made 6 X 3 strips for the boarder
 1st strip being attached
Making the strips
This is the backing.  I found some gator hide fabric
The front totally binded and quilted

Funday Sunday.

Yesterday was the day we all got together and colored eggs and pigged out.  I made cookies and cut slits out for the bunny ears.  The cups are plastic that I drew faces on with a sharpie
These were eggs we used baking soda and food coloring to make a paste, painted them then
 dipped quickly in vinegar
This is my girl Megan and my niece leah being goofy
We also did nail polish in cups of water
We all had to wear gloves
 Was really messy but fun
These are the nail polish eggs
They came out kinda cool
Eggs rolled in rice that was colored with food coloring

I made a giant pan of home made mac and cheese with bacon on top
And finally dessert.  dirt cake with carrots growing out  :0
It was such a fun day.  I love getting together with my family

Something different- blender jello

A good friend of mine was telling me how she had this dessert called blender jello.  She really liked it so I thought I would give it a whirl.  Hee Hee
So I added one box of jello and 2/3 cup of boiling water
You blend it on high for 2 to 3 minutes.  Then start adding ice cubes
Next add some cool whip and blend again
When completely blended pour into small glasses
Put in frig and let set about 30 minutes.  Top with a dollop of cool whip and enjoy

1 small box any flavor jello
2/3 cup boiling water
6 ice cubes
8 0z cool whip

Put jello in blender.  Pour boiling water on top.  Do not put lid on tight.  Blend for 2 to 3 minutes.  Add icecubes one at a time and blend another 2 minutes or so.  Spoon 3/4 or the cool whip into the blender.  Blend until smooth.  Pour in serving dishes and frig for 30 minutes or until set.  Spoon a dollop of cool whip on top and enjoy
